RAF Claims (Orthopaedic Injuries) (2016)

R7.7 million award was secured for a 22 year old male Drill Operator who sustained severe degloving and crush injury to his hand, which lead  to the amputation of three fingers.

RAF Claim (Brain Injury) (2016)

A judgement in the amount of R4 million rand was obtained for a 15 year old male who sustained a brain injury in a motor vehicle collision, whilst a R4.1 million judgement was secured for a 22 year old male general worker who sustained a brain injury after being ejected from a Taxi that was involved in a collision.

RAILWAY ACCIDENT (PRASA – CLAIM) (2016)

We secured a R3.2 million judgement for a 48 year old male maintenance worker, who was pushed out of a moving train and who suffered, inter alia, a left lower leg amputation.

MINORS SUFFERING FROM CEREBRAL PALSY (BRAIN DAMAGE) AS A RESULT OF MEDICAL NEGLIGENCE (2016)

Judgements ranging between R15mil-R34mil have been secured on behalf of minor children who, as a direct result of substandard medical conduct by medical personnel either before, during and/or directly after the birth process, were rendered cerebral palsied (brain damaged).

SCA JUDGEMENT

We successfully oppose an appeal in the Supreme Court of Appeal(SCA) brought by the Minister of Police against a Judgement secured in the Gauteng Division of the High Court.

Dog bite matter (2014)

Secured a R750 000, 00 settlement against the owner of a dog for a 54 year old female estate agent who sustained physical and emotional sequelae arising from a dog bite to her leg.

Traumatic Head Injury (2015)

We obtained a judgment against the Road Accident Fund in the amount of R7.4 million for a female scholar who sustained a traumatic head injury in a motor vehicle accident.

Assault and Illegal arrest and detention (2014)

After conducting a 10 day trial, we obtained a judgment for a male legal practitioner against the Minister of Police in the amount of R3.9 million for assault and illegal arrest and detention by members of the police.

Orthopaedic Injuries (2015)

We secured a settlement in the amount of R7.6 million against the Road Accident Fund for a 29 year old female administrative clerk, who suffered polytrauma in a motor vehicle accident resulting in paraplegia.
